Summer at White House Brinsop
Summer is in full swing now and we are pretty busy inside and out. This week the Three Choirs Festival is taking place in Hereford and we are entertaining singers and visitors to the Festival. At this time of year we spend a lot of time outdoors tending to the grounds and keeping the grass cut so that they look at their best for our guests.
There is nothing more delightful than to sit out around the lake in the evening sunshine glass of wine in hand watching wildlife going about its business. The goslings that were born earlier this year are now almost fully grown and their parents are encouraging them to fly. Quite a sight when ten Canada Geese suddenly take flight and almost immediately splash down on the other side of the pond. Not as bad though as two years ago when 100 plus geese suddenly descended upon us. Fortunately they only stayed for a couple of hours before taking off again!
While our guests are enjoying their summer break we are already looking forward to bookings for September and October. September is filling up fast. It is a great month; the weather is generally very settled and prices are that bit lower so if you are able to take a break then it is often a very good choice.
