Spring is Here
As I write this the weather forecast is set to improve. After a mild winter our early spring has been wet and cold. Fortunately that is all about to change.
We have been very busy here since Christmas. The Cider Press has been updated with new carpets throughout and the second bedroom has had a facelift. First reactions from our guests have been very favourable.
Outside we have created a new garden area with raised beds where the hard standing used to be. As I write this we are awaiting delivery of a new oak framed gazebo to complement the new garden and which we hope our guests will enjoy during their stay at the White House Brinsop.
Despite the weather the House Martins are back and busily nest building and the pair of geese who arrived a month ago have managed to produce the first goslings of the year. It never ceases to amaze me that despite the weather and everything else the natural cycle continues as before.
Abby has been working hard outside over the winter and the gardens are beginning to look a picture once again. The benches are out and we are looking forward to renewing old aquaintances and welcoming new guests during 2016..
